One of the most respected names in his field, Dr. (Prof.) Leonard A. Rubinstein has been an invited speaker and Faculty Member of numerous national and international medical symposia where he is invited to teach the innovative techniques he has developed. In private practice for over 22 years in Sarasota, Florida, USA, Dr. Rubinstein has offices also in Mexico, Baja and P. R. of China. His integrated comprehensive approach to patients includes both traditional western (Allopathic) and Holistic techniques of Medicine (Homeopathic, Oriental, Osteopathic). Dr. Rubinstein was selected as “One of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons” by Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2006 and again in 2007. For his accomplishments, Dr. Rubinstein was recently nominated to serve on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Public Health and Science Advisory Committee on National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives for 2020.

Dr. Rubinstein is credited for many advances in the fields of Cosmetic Surgery, including an innovative approach to Cosmetic Breast Enhancement Surgery wherein his surgical approach can be performed without a resultant scar on the skin. This unique approach, called RejuvENHANCE™ Intra-Areolar Multi-W-Plasty Technique, which he developed has been featured in several trade journals, including the April 2003 issue of the national publication Cosmetic Surgery Times, and has been the featured topic of many medical symposia. As one of the first Cosmetic Surgeons to perform Liposuction Surgery in the United States, Dr. Rubinstein's unique techniques of Liposculpture Body Contour Enhancement, including his RejuvLiposelective™ Ultrasound-assisted Liposculpture, have earned him world-wide recognition as a master surgeon and he is frequently invited to serve as Faculty of Liposuction Surgery meetings. Dr. Pierre Fournier, considered by many as the "Father of Liposuction" has invited Dr. Rubinstein to serve as co-faculty of Dr. Fournier's Liposuction Courses. In the Fall of 2006, Dr. Rubinstein was recognized in the International Anniversary Meeting of 30 Years of Liposuction held in Rome, Italy, by Drs. Fournier and Giorgio Fischer for his contributions over the years to the field of Liposculpture Surgery. In November of 2007 he participated as Faculty in the 5th International Conference of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine held in California.

Dr. Rubinstein prides himself in always reaching out to the latest advances in his field and strives to provide the latest treatment options to his patients. He promotes an Integrative Approach to the practice of Medicine, Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging which he prefers to refer to as Healthy Age Management. As such, after completing his Allopathic Medical training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, his Internal Medicine and General Surgical Residency years, and his specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, he pursued further training in Body Contour Cosmetic Surgery and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He then obtained further training in Homeopathic Medicine in Germany and Oriental Medicine in China. Dr. Rubinstein’s office includes a merging of Allopathy, Homeopathy, Osteopathy, and Oriental Medicine into virtually every aspect of his care of patients.
