Hernando Arturo Ortiz

We are delighted to introduce Hernando Arturo Ortiz, Lic. Ac., A.P., who has just joined our practice.  Mr. Ortiz is a licensed Acupuncturist who is a competent and caring physician and is much appreciated by his patients. He is able to draw from his conventional and Asian medical training to provide an unusually broad range of treatment options to patients. He is fluent in Spanish and English. 

Mr. Ortiz received his Medical Doctor and Surgeon degree in March 7, 1980, at La Universidad del Valle Medical School in Cali, Colombia, S.A. He furthered his studies at Centro de Investigacion de Medicinas Alternativas, Popayan, Colombia, in Neural Therapy and Alternative Healing Methods.

From 1984 through 1999, Mr. Ortiz continued his studies in Colombia, S.A., and in Human Sexuality & Treatment of Sexual Dysfunctions; Homeopathy & Homotoxicology; Basic Course of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion for MDs; Korean Hand Acupuncture; Reiki, Usui System of Natural Healing; Intensive Course of Health Management and Specialty in Therapeutic Physical Activity.

From 1984 through 1999, Mr. Ortiz worked in Colombia, S.A. as a Medical Doctor in the Emergency Room at I.S.S. Sta. Isabel de Hungria Clinic, Palmira, Colombia; Holistic Medicine Private Practice at CMA Alternative Medicine Research; Primary Care Provider at COOMEVA; and Associate Physician at Sn. Buenaventura University.

In 2000, Mr. Ortiz moved to the United States and attended the Medical Interpreter Training Program at the University of Massachusetts; in 2005 he did his Clinical Internship at the New England School of Acupuncture Clinic and received his degree of Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; in 2006 he furthered his studies in New York in TCM Facial Rejuvenation, The Ping Zhang "Aculift System" and in Sarasota Florida attended the East West College of Natural Medicine to certify in Acupuncture Injection Therapy.  Mr. Ortiz, in 2007, began teaching on the faculty of the East West College of Natural Medicine.

For several years, Mr. Ortiz has been providing his services to compliment Dr. Leonard A. Rubinstein's aesthetic procedures and anti-aging medical programs. Together they have also used acupuncture to enhance longevity of face lifting procedures.
